MINUTES: Minutes of Tuesday, June 19, 2007

CALL TO ORDER:  Meeting called to order at 7:30 PM by Chairman Tom McElroy.

ROLL CALL:  Chairman Tom McElroy, vice-Chairman Alan French, Dana Allison, & Alternate Charles Melvin. Absent: Bradley Cardoso, Jack Kozec, Alternate Ken Pelletier
        
Mr Melvin was made a voting member in the absence of Mr Cardoso & Mr Kozec.
ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES:  Meeting of  May 15, 2007.  A motion was made by
                        Mr Allison to accept the minutes as written.  Seconded by
Mr Melvin. Vote: 3 in favor, 1 abstention (Mr McElroy was absent last month).   Motion carries.
                        
NEW BUSINESS:
1.      Mr Pelletier’s Appointment: paperwork & swearing in completed.
2.      Announcement of the 2007 Planning Board Training Series on June 25.  This is a workshop being held at the Exeter Municipal Offices.
3.      LGC announces release of “How to Regulate Junk and Junkyards: A guide for Local Officials”.  The Board has no need for this publication.
4.      E-mail from Kim Pettit concerning Petition “Sara Realty, LLC vs. Town of Newton Planning Board”.  Board read the materials.  They are not involved.  The Courts could ask for some of the records.  
5.      Review of the Planning Board agenda and Notice of decision  on the six-lot subdivision on George’s Way proposed by Rosewood Builders.
6.      The Board reviewed the letter from DES to Michael Maher, 46 Wilders’ Grove, Newton.
7.      Review of the notice from the Board of Selectmen re: Policy on charges for reports and copies.
8.      Review of Budget Activity through May 31, 2007.
9.      Verizon Tower maps and charts were made available for review.

OLD BUSINESS:
        None this month…        
ADJOURNMENT:  A motion was made at 7:45 PM by Mr Melvin to adjourn.
                Seconded by Mr Allison.  Motion carries.
                Next meeting to be Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at 7:30 PM.
