I. Call to Order: Chairman McElroy called the meeting to order at 7:30 PM.
II. Roll Call
In attendance were Chairman Tom McElroy, Vice-Chairman Alan French, Dana Allison, Bradley Cardoso, Alternate Ken Pelletier. Charles Melvin arrived late. Absent: Jack Kozec.
Minutes were transcribed and typed by Secretary Jeannette Clark.
Abutters and guests: Jacqueline Curtis, Cheryl Amazeen, Ronald Pica.
In the Absence of Mr Kozec, Mr Pelletier was made a voting member.
III. Acceptance of Minutes:
A motion was made by Mr Allison to accept the minutes of the meeting of July 18, 2006, as written. Second by Mr French. Motion carries.
A motion was made by Mr French to accept the minutes of the July 31, 2006, Work Session as written. Second by Mr McElroy. Motion carries.
IV. Public Hearing: Michael Seekamp

Appeal from Residential A Zoning Ordinance, Section V, Paragraph 3, dealing with location on lot. The Applicant is requesting a variance from the sideline setback in order to build a garage.
Mr Seekamp made a brief presentation. This was followed by a series of questions from the Board. He will have a workshop above the garage.
The Board reviewed the Criteria. All five were voted unanimously as Satisfied by the Board.
Mr Allison made a motion to grant 2 variances for a garage and breezeway. The first for the garage, so that no part of the garage will be closer than 9.2 feet to the side lot line. The second for the breezeway, so that no part of the breezeway will be closer than 19 feet to the side lot line, as shown on Plot Plan dated 06-15-06 by Civil Construction Management, Inc.
Second by Mr Cardoso. Motion carries unanimously.
Chairman McElroy explained to the Applicant that he needed to get a Building Permit and that any person affected by this decision has 30 days to appeal.

Mr Allison made a motion to close the Public Hearing at 7:50 PM. Second by Mr Pelletier. Motion carries.
V. New Business
A. McDonough decision made June 20, 2006. Mr French made a motion to deny the rehearing, as there was no new evidence provided. Second by Mr Allison. Motion carries unanimously.
B. Robert Peterson’s letter appealing the Ron Pica (Whispering Pines Campground) decision made on June 20, 2006. Mr Peterson was basing his letter on the fact that there was no official denial. However, attorneys and the Board stated that there was a definite denial in the Minutes of the Planning Board, and therefore, a motion was made by Mr Allison to deny the request of a rehearing. Second by Mr Pelletier. Motion carries.
C. Mr Blaisdell’s request for a joint rehearing with the Planning Board
and the Board of Appeals. It was decided to leave it to the Planning Board to schedule this.
D. Annual Municipal Law Lecture Series: Mr French, Mr Kozec, and
Mr Melvin will attend all three sessions. Mr Pelletier will check his schedule, as there is one session he would like to attend. Mr Clark will make the necessary arrangements.
E. Rockingham Planning Commission sent a flyer for a publication on
land use…
F. Since there are, at this time, no requests for hearings for next month,
there will be no Work Session this month.
G. Discussion of the Application Form:
It was decided to add a #9 to the Application.
A motion was made by Mr Allison to add “9. Any incomplete Application and/or proper attached documents will result in postponing of the hearing. (as of 8-15-06). Second by Mr French. Motion carries unanimously.
VI. Adjournment
A motion was made at 8:15 by Mr Allison to adjourn. Second by Mr French. Motion Carries. Next meeting to be September 19, 2006 at 7:30.
