Public Hearing Notice

Residents of the Town of Newbury and other interested persons, please note that on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 8:15 PM at the Newbury Town Hall, 25 High Road, Newbury, MA, the Newbury Planning Board will hold a public hearing to consider proposed changes to the Code of the Town of Newbury, Chapter 97, Zoning, as follows:

  • Replacement of § 97-10.D. Accessory Apartments with a new § 97-10.D. Accessory Apartments, which amends and clarifies certain provisions regarding accessory apartments.
  • Amendments to § 97-11.D.(2) Written Definitions to revise the definitions of “Alteration” and “Floor Area, Gross” and to add a definition for “Suspended Basement.”
  • Amendment to § 97-6. Dimensional Regulations, para. A.(1), to change the word “yards” to “setbacks” and the word “bylaw” to “By-Law.”
  • Amendment to § 97-10.A. Nonconforming Uses, para. (1)(a), to add the words “abandoned and” before the words “not used” and to add commas in certain locations.
