  • 7:30 p.m. Joint public hearing of the Newbury Board of Selectmen and the Newbury Planning Board for a Water Supply Protection Overlay District Special Permit (Board of Selectmen) and for Site Plan Review Approval (Planning Board) for development of a mixed-use commercial building at 76 Newburyport Turnpike, Map R47, Parcel 16, for applicant Michael Houlihan, Roots to Wings Yoga and Healing.

  • Request of Margaret Gillis of the Museum of Old Newbury to place signs throughout the Town of Newbury from May 25th through June 15th for the 36th annual garden tour to be held June 13th and 14th, 2015.

Old Business:

  • Following the recommendation made by the Building Inspector and the Board of Selectmen, during the September 9th, 2014 Board of Selectmen Meeting, Plum Island Beachcoma filed an appeal with the State of Massachusetts Board of Building Regulations and Standards. The appeal pertained to the decision of the Building Inspector that the restaurant would be classified as a night club if live entertainment was consistently offered. The appeal of Plum Island Beachcoma was heard by the BBRS on December 16, 2014. Approval was given for live entertainment on Sundays (only) from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Cathy Pugh of Plum Island Beachcoma requests to have live amplified music on all Sundays from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
