BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING
August 25, 2015
Chair Steve Fram opened the meeting at 6:20 p.m. Present were Board Member Alba Gouldthorpe, Health Inspector, Virginia Bacon and Health Agent, Deborah Rogers. Elaine Bryne was absent.
Steve Fram stated that a Presby septic system does not need the Board of Health’s approval for the groundwater separation. Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection has approved a two foot reduction to groundwater with the use of Presby Systems. Therefore, any Presby designs that are submitted to the Board of Health can be reviewed and approved by the Health Agent.
17 Forest Street and 12 Graham Avenue were designed using a Presby System therefore the Health Agent will review accordingly.
Public Health Contract – It was moved by Alba Gouldthorpe to accept the Public Health contract for FY16, seconded, by Steve Fram and voted unanimous.
It was moved by Alba Gouldthorpe to accept the July 28, 2015 minutes as written, seconded by Steve Fram and voted unanimous.
Steve Fram stated for the record, that the Newbury BOH will be assisting the Newburyport Health Department if needed during the transition of a new Health Director.
The next meeting of the Board of Health will be on September 29, 2015 at 6:00 p.m.
