BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING
May 14, 2013
Chair Steve Fram opened the meeting at 6:03 p.m. Present were Elaine Byrne, Alba Gouldthorpe, Health Agent Deborah Rogers, and Health Inspector Virginia Bacon.
MINUTES OF MEETING- It was moved by Alba Gouldthorpe to approve the minutes for April 16, 2013 as written; it was seconded by Elaine Byrne and voted unanimously.
66 COTTAGE ROAD – Deb Rogers explained to the board that the private well water sample test that was conducted passed. However, in accordance to MA Title 5 regulations the well still needs to be relocated further away from the septic system located on the property. The board requested Deb Rogers to send the homeowner a letter requesting him to relocate the private drinking well within 90 days.
RECYCLING COORDINATOR –Recycling Coordinator Joshua Glasheen spoke to Sharon Kashida from MA. DEP, she recommended Josh to apply for MA. DEP grants that have a June 12, 2013 deadline.
TRANSFER STATION – Jason Mello submitted a tonnage and profit sharing report (see attached) and explained to the board that the transfer station is running smoothly.
The next meeting of the Board of Health will be on June 18, 2013 at 6:00 pm
