Meeting Minutes

April 2, 2013

The meeting was opened at 6:00 p.m.

Present:         E. Peter Murphy, S. Wechsler, C. Keville
Chairman: B. Kelley

Old Business
Property records review & corrections.  The board approved the corrections of issues brought by the Planning Board for submission to Kathleen Pearson, Chair.

Betterments conversion to SoftRight – Carrie is working to approve totals and balance the errors.  The board asked Carrie to process the bill for Patriot Properties special betterment report to use for the conversion to SoftRight.  

Normal Business:                                                                
  • Office work     - The MAAO election ballots were reviewed.  Sandy made a motion to table this to a future meeting.  Peter seconded the motion.  All were in favor.
                               
  • Mail – The board received their paychecks
The board was informed that the revised assessment is ready for 8 Livingston Lane.
Budd motioned to enter into executive session to discuss real/personal property abatements and then return to the open meeting.  Sandy seconded the motion.  The following roll call vote was taken:

At 6:40 the board reentered the public meeting.  The board asked Tracy if the authorization for Carrie to return to processing the motor vehicle abatements was all set.  Tracy said yes.  She would inform the auditors.
Carrie asked the board to allow her to complete several abatement applications. The board allowed the request.
Tracy asked for the amounts of taxes owed on the six Plum Island houses that have been demolished.  The same calculation that was used on 4 5th Street will be used for these houses.  Carrie will submit this on Thursday.

The meeting adjourned at 6:50 p.m. by unanimous vote.
