Meeting Minutes
December 18, 2012
The meeting was opened at 6:04 p.m.

Old Business
R39-2 – pull deeds of Marcos – Item tabled to a future meeting
Normal Business:
- Minutes - The minutes for the December 11, 2012 meeting were read and approved.
- Monthly Abatements – December exemptions were reviewed and signed.
- Monthly Manager’s Meeting update - held 3rd Wednesday of each months.
Carrie informed the board of the following items discussed:
- New health benefit Section 125 Plan. One places money into the account pretax and uses the monies for non-covered medical expenses.
- Conflict of Interest statements are to be submitted to the Town Clerk.
- Online Ethics must be done on or before April 1st 2013. Link will be on town website.
- Budgets for FY2014 should be in the planning. We should add a legal services line item. Carrie noted the MAAO memberships may increase and the additional sums should be added. Budd requested a Dept. Expenditure Report.
- Office work - Address correction process – Carrie informed the board that she has a list of deeds that came in after the billing file and before the billing. She will pass these on to Diane for mailing a copy. Also, Carrie requested a meeting of sorts with the billing company, SoftRight and us to learn the best way to enter addresses for the second the fourth quarters.
Carrie informed the board that the FY2013 database has been rolled and will now be available on the website. A sales report and update will also be done.
New Business:
Mapping – The assessors looked at the map and read a recommendation from Merrimac Valley Planning in regard to R47-0-26-1 (in the database as R47-0-261) and R47-0-26-2 (in the database as R47-0-262). After discussion, Peter motioned to change the map to reflect the same numbering as the database. Budd seconded the motion. All were in favor. Carrie will make the correction on the map.
