Meeting Minutes
April 10, 2012                                                                         

The meeting was opened at 6:01 p.m.

Present:          P. Murphy, S. Wechsler and C. Keville
Chairman:       

Old Business:
        Supplemental Billing – a brief discussion was had concluding a decision is expected to be reached on the meeting to be held on April 24, 2012.  All assessors are expected to be present.

Normal Business:                                                                

  • Minutes – The minutes for the meeting held 3/13/2012 were corrected and signed.  The correction was made to the date of the overlay surplus release.  1998 and Older was replaced with 1993 and Older.
                                                                                        
  • RE & PP Abatements –  Abatement were acted on as follows:
  • #16 – 7 R Austin Ln. - The proposal was accepted.  Peter motioned to grant the abatement.  Sandy seconded.  All in favor.  
  • # 19 – 8 Harvard Way – Carrie was asked to inspect the property.
  • #29 – 5 Blue Hill Ave. – Assessments are supposed to be within 10% of Market Value”.  Sales from 2010 were used to determine the assessments for FY2012. The sale of this property for $630,500 on 10/15/2010 is reflective of that market.  Peter motioned to deny the application.  Sandy seconded the motion.  All were in favor.
  • # 30 – 87 Old Point Rd. – The submitted letter was read.  The property was noted as having an unbuildable adjustment of -80%.  Sandy motioned to deny the application.  Peter seconded the motion.  All were in favor.
  • # 31 – 95 Old Point Rd. – The submitted letter was read.  The property record card states the building to be in delapidated condition.  There is no lower condition value.  Peter motioned to deny the application.  Sandy seconded the motion. All were in favor.
                                        
  • Mail – Sandy received his M.A.A.O. ballot.  He also received a copy of the Capital Planning Report.  The ethics on-line training awaits notification from the town clerk that the program is ready.
At 6:30 p.m. Sandy motioned to adjourn the meeting.  Peter seconded the motion.  The meeting adjourned.
