Trustee of the Trust Funds
Minutes of August 12, 2009
Attending: Trustee David Allyn, Trustee Mary McHale, Trustee Lois Parker
The meeting was called to order by Bookkeeper David Allyn at 7:11pm.
Approval of Minutes
It was moved and seconded(D. Allyn/L. Parker) to table the Minutes of June 6, 2009. Passed unanimously.
New Business
It was moved and seconded(M. McHale/L. Parker) to approve a request from the Library Trustees to transfer $859.90 from the Library Technology Improvement CRF to Town of New Durham’s General Fund for the purchase of computers and monitors for the library. Passed unanimously.
Requests for the Elmer C. Smith Scholarship were received from the following people: Cameron Quigley, Kathryn Blackden, Heather Davenport, Ashley Neely and Amanda Jenckes. It was moved and seconded(D. Allyn/M. McHale) that each student receive $750. Ayes(D. Allyn/M. McHale), Abstain(L. Parker).
Other Business
There was a discussion concerning the interest earned on our Trustee of the Trust Fund accounts and the investment policy. L. Parker will investigate other avenues of investment.
The Trustees of the Trust Fund received a letter from the Department of Revenue stating the 2007 end of year balance on the MS-9 did not match the 2008 beginning balance. D. Allyn will research.
The Trustees of the Trust Fund received a letter from the Charitable Trust Division asking if the Fire Truck CRF, Town Hall ADA Compliance CRF, Police Department Facility CRF and Town Building Improvement CRF is still active and to correct the MS-9 if necessary. D. Allyn will research.
The Trustees of the Trust Fund received the Irrevocable Letter of Credit from TD Bank, NA. It was moved and seconded(D. Allyn/M. McHale) to have the bookkeeper sign and return said letter. Passed unanimously.
It was moved and seconded(L. Parker/M. McHale) to adjourn. Passed unanimously.
