II. Tour of Fire Station
The CIP committee started with a review of last year’s CIP for the Fire Department. The committee discussed last year’s shortfall ($25,225) in funding for the Fire Capital Reserves Funds, and how that will affect the replacement schedule for Command Car 1, which is the Fire Chief’s vehicle. The 82 Forestry Truck was added back onto the list, although a replacement cost and year will not be established at this point. New Station Construction was taken off of the Building Planning list, and amounts were adjusted to reflect actual amounts allocated. Lakes Region will perform an assessment of where Dry Hydrants and Cisterns can/should be placed, and the committee will wait to hear those results before suggesting an increase in funds. The Committee then took a tour of the Fire Department facility.
III. Tour of Police Station
The committee arrived at the Police Station at 8:30 PM. Chief Bernier took the committee through the facility, and showed them where the renovations will occur. The 2001 Crown Vic, was replaced by a 2010 Crown Vic and the Chief is looking into a 4-Wheel drive truck instead of another Explorer for the replacement of the 2003 Ford Explorer, which is due for replacement in 2011.
IV. Review of minutes was postponed. Scott Drummey asked Alison Rendinaro to add more detail. Rendinaro will come back with revised minutes.
V. The next meeting has not been scheduled yet, but will be with the Recreation Department, at the Ball Fields, and at the Library. DRAFT
