Public Meeting Minutes for June 23, 2010
I. Meeting Called to Order at 7:08 PM
Present: Fred March, Selectmen’s representative
Scott Drummey, Planning Board Representative
Tom Goss, Budget Committee Representative
Paddy McHale, Member At Large
Alison Rendinaro
Missing: Chris LaPierre, Member At Large
II. Nomination of Chair and Vice-Chair
- Scott Drummey nominated Paddy McHale for Chair of the CIP committee, seconded by Tom Goss. Discussion followed: addressing the fact that Chair and Vice-Chair should be At Large members as opposed to members who are representative of boards or commissions. Vote of 4-0
- Nomination of Chris LaPierre for Vice-Chair by Tom Goss, seconded by Paddy McHale. Vote was 3-0 with one abstention and one recusal.
III. Department Head meetings:
- Alison will contact Department Heads to set up interviews
- See if Dept. Heads will be willing to host meetings on site to incorporate into Dept. tours, with some exceptions. Rec. on Saturday (in daylight) and Library will be left to Max’s discretion
- Reminder to ask Dept. Heads if there are any recent or upcoming changes Reassess where each Dept. is
- Meetings/Tours should be Wednesday evenings at or after 7PM, if possible, and at least twice a month
- Start with the larger Depts.
- $10,000 threshold was discussed
- Committee would be interested in meeting with CIP professionals
IV. Motion to adjourn meeting by Scott Drummey, seconded by Tom Goss 5-0
