Notice of Public Hearings
Commercial Design Guidelines and Driveway Regulations

        Notice is hereby given of Public Hearings to be held on Tuesday, February 9, 2010, starting at 6:30 p.m. in the New Boston Town Hall, as follows:

PUBLIC HEARING AT 6:30 P.M., to consider the adoption of the proposed Town of New Boston Commercial Design Guidelines.  This new document is intended to offer standards and guidelines regarding site design aesthetics for developers of commercial property in New Boston.
        Full text copies of the proposed Commercial Design Guidelines are available at the Town Hall Planning Department, free of charge, during regular business hours; are posted in Town at TD Bank, the Library, Post Office, Dodge's Store, Town Hall lobby and Planning Dept. bulletin board for viewing; and, will be available at the public hearing.           
        
        PUBLIC HEARING AT 7:00 P.M., on proposed amendments to the Driveway Regulations: these changes include adding notes regarding the Fire Chief's authority under NFPA 1 to regulate driveways; removing the Planning Board from the curb cut permit process; specifying the differences in process for existing lots of record and lots involved in a subdivision or site plan; removing the Planning Board from compliance inspections and stipulating the Building Inspector/Code Enforcement Officer as the compliance inspector; updating the appeals process; and adding provisions for bonding with the Building Inspector/Code Enforcement Officer for incomplete compliance items.
