Notice of Public Hearings

Subdivision Regulations

          Notice is hereby given of a Public Hearing to be held in the New Boston Town Hall Conference Room starting at 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 13, 2008.  The purpose of the hearings is to consider proposed amendments to the Subdivision Regulations, as follows:

PUBLIC HEARING AT 8:00 P.M. ON PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS:

Add a new sentence to Section V-V, D, 3, to refer applicants to the completed application requirements section of the regulations.
Amend Section V-V, E, 1, g, by adding requirements for drainage facilities to be designed to the 10 year storm; requiring facilities to mitigate the post development peak rate of runoff; discouraging submission of waivers to this requirement; and, encouraging innovative stormwater management techniques to retain stormwater onsite.

Add five new sections numbered h. through l. to Section V-V, E, 1, requiring road crossing culverts to be designed to the 50 year storm; requiring rip rap in drainage swales with a slope of 5% or greater; requiring drainage access structures for underdrain to be spaced no greater than 300' apart; adding criteria specifying when underdrain will be required; requiring that underdrain will outlet into a headwall or drainage structure; and then, renumber the existing sections accordingly.

Add a new section f, to Section V-V, F, 2, requiring that revised design calculations and stormwater management plans be submitted if site conditions change after plan approval.

Amend Section V-V, I, 2, by specifying that inspections of ongoing water quality protection measures shall be identified as part of the Planning Board's approval of the stormwater management plan.

COPIES OF THE FULL TEXT OF THE PROPOSED AMENDMENTS ARE AVAILABLE at the Town Hall Planning Department free of charge, during regular business hours, are posted in the Town at TDBanknorth, Library, Post Office, Dodge's Store, Town Hall Lobby, and Planning Dept. bulletin board for viewing only, and will be available at the public hearing.
