We reviewed the status of on going and potential open space lands:
~
Unfortunately, Thibeault representative Vinnie Iacozzi did not attend.~ It was recommended that we get another appraisal done on these lots.~ I have contacted 3 appraisers and have heard back from 2 so far.~ Ken Clinton and Dave Ely will present this project to the Fire Wards on Monday the 25th~in an effort to gain their support.
~
Day property:~ The Bedford Con Com and/or the Bedford Land Trust will still pursue this 110 acre~parcel.~ My last conversation with Mr Taub indicated that they will pursue an appraisal, and they took to heart my comment that their offer of 7000 an acre was too high.~ They will be asking for our participation in any deal to purchase.~ This could be a good recreation area for New Boston, in that it will abut some 400 acres in Bedford and all would be available from NB, also bearing in mind that most of our easement protected land is not garranteed to be available for public access.
~
Twin Bridge and Lorden open space developments:~ The thought for these is that it would be best if the Town were deeded the land and PLC held the easement on the open space portion of the property.~ Burr Tupper and I attended a PLC meeting and they seemed reluctant to get involved with Twin Bridge due to its previous unsatisfactory history.~ They were more enthusiastic about the Lorden property.~ A sight visit is planned for both and a subsequent meeting will determine whether they will join us in these.~ We still have options to get the land protected.
~
Barss property on Joe English Rd.~ I have been contacted by the family of William Barss and will talk with them about their options.~ This could be a good fit for a new FRPP project.
~
The Town is talking with Mr Tracy, owner of the lot across the river from the new library land.~ The goal will be to find a way to have the new foot bridge on this property.~ I was asked to provide him some information on tax impact if he were to donate the property to the Town.~ The property is already easement protected and there is a question as to whether or not the easement would permit the installation of a bridge.

Our next meeting will be on November 15 at 7:30 in the Town Hall.
