NEW BOSTON FORESTRY COMMITTEE  
Minutes of Meeting – January 8, 2007  
 
ATTENDEES:~ Karl Heafield, Robert Todd, Tom Lazott, Kim DiPietro, Dave Allen, Nancy Loddengaard  
 
The meeting was called to order at 7:10 pm.  
 
REVIEW OF DECEMBER MINUTES:~ Minutes approved as amended.  
 
TREASURER’S REPORT:~ $1363.78.~ Treasurer handed out the annual treasurer’s report which was approved as written.  
 
OLD BUSINESS  
 
Lydia Dodge Patch Cut – no change or update.  
 
NEW BUSINESS  
 
Reports to Selectmen & Town  
~~~ Kim DiPietro suggested adding in that the committee is working on trail maps for the New Boston Trail.  
~~~ She also suggested adding in to the report Ken Marvell’s recent death and the contributions he made to the town, along with sending a letter to the family and the town in this regard.~ He was the first person to sell the development rights to the town at a bargain price.~ Discussion was also held on a physical monument to his contributions.  
A motion was made and approved to work on a brass memorial to put on a granite marker to memorialized Ken Marvell’s contributions.~ The granite marker to be made and donated by Dave Allen.~ He will come up with an estimate for the cost of installing the plaque in the granite.~ Bob Todd to talk to the PWA and see what they might donate towards the plaque.  
~~ A motion was made and approved to accept the reports as amended including Ken Marvell’s death and contributions.  
 
Intents to Cut  
~~~ John Ferguson to look at Thibeault’s properties intents to cut.  
 
CIP Plan of 2007  
~~~ Kim DiPietro handed out the plan and a revised copy of a narrative adjustment of the CIP Plan of 2007 to the committee members.  
~~~ Kim DiPietro reported that the town has hit 2 veins of clay on the Sherburne Lot and have put in the budget some sand in case there is a problem.
