MEETING OF THE BOARD OF SELECTMEN
TOWN OF MOUNT DESERT, MAINE
Tuesday, June 10 2008
A meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held this date in the Town Office Meeting Room, 21 Sea Street, Northeast Harbor, Maine.
Those present included: Chairman Jeffrey Smith, Selectmen Jean Bonville, Chuck Bucklin; and Town Manager Michael MacDonald.
I. Call to order.
Chairman Smith called the meeting to order at 4:45 p.m.
II. Minutes
A. No minutes were presented for approval.
III. Appointments and Communications
A. Confirm appointment of Kathryn Mahar as part-time Bookkeeper at a rate of $25.00 per hour, effective date of appointment, June 16, 2008.
After a brief discussion of Ms. Mahar's experience and qualifications and her ability to address the items identified in our 2007 audit, Selectman Bonville moved approval of the above appointment, seconded by Selectman Bucklin. The vote was unanimous in favor.

The next meeting of the Board of Selectmen will by June 16 at the Community Room, Somesville Fire Station, Somesville. At 5:10 p.m. Selectman Bonville moved to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Selectman Bucklin. The vote was unanimous in favor.
