(Present: Murphy, Haynes, Litchfield, Fernald, Foster, Bromage, Jones, Johnston, Bright, Crothers, Liebow Excused: Brown, Black)

~~~~~~~1. ~~~Approve the minutes of the regular Marine Management Committee Meeting from December 13th, 2005
Motion by Johnston and second by Litchfield to approve as written (11-0)
C.~~~~~~ New Business
~~~~~~~~
1. ~~~~~Discuss the proposed Summer rate increase for the Northeast Harbor Marina
.
Proposed new rates were distributed and discussed (see attachment A)
Motion by Johnston that 45-day seasonal rental customers be required to pay full amount due upon contracted arrival date with no discount being applied...second by Bright (11-0)
Motion by Fernald that during the months of June and September a customer who books and pays in advance for a minimum of 30 consecutive days will receive a 10% discount on their total dockage fee for that period of time…second by Foster (11-1 (Bright))
Motion by Bromage to accept the proposed new summer rates as distributed with the following changes: 1. Commercial barge operation and boat transport launching ramp fee be set at $15.00 2. Under dock space add the phrase…”seasonal dockage customers with vessels of less than 60 feet electricity is included…Vessels 60 feet and over pay ½ transient electrical rate” second by Fernald (11-0)
2. Discuss changes to the seasonal sign in form.
The seasonal sign-in form was distributed (see attachment B) and discussed
Motion by Foster to approve the sign-in form as distributed with the modifications listed in item one above to be included (see attachment B)…second by Bromage (11-0)
3.~~~~~~Discuss placing an annual fee for the seasonal dockage/outboard waitlist(s)

Motion by Bright to establish a $15.00 fee to remain on the seasonal dockage/outboard waitlist…second by Fernald (11-0)

· Commercial dockage proposal is still at the maritime lawyers for review

---Discussion regarding use of the town hall meeting room for Marine Management Committee meetings due to multiple meeting conflicts. Harbor Master Murphy recommends that future meetings be moved to the Somesville firehouse meeting room.
