Stie Meeting Wednesday July 17, 2013

1.      The contract term shall be for a period of three (3) years, commencing on August 1, 2013 and end on June 30th 2016

2.      Contractor shall keep the grass cut and maintain the following grounds as specified at the July 17th Stie Meeting

                MOWING

                A. Greene Park
                B. Bidwell park and Town Center across from Greene Park and around Town Hall
                C. Parade Grounds at old Town Center
                D. Dam Area off Beartown Rd
                E. Town Beach at Lake Garfield and all parking areas used by the beach.
                     These parking areas areas are across Tyringham Rd opposite the beach parking
                     parking area and North of the Beach across Sylvan Rd.  These areas are parking only  
                     and should be kept in the 4- 6 inch vicinity.
                

                BASEBALL FIELD AT GREENE PARK

                A. Turning of infield dirt twice yearly. Before April 15th and then by the end of the first week of July.
                B. Weed maintence during those periods inbetween turnings of the infield
                C. Leveling of dirt areas to grass at infield and outfield transition
                D. Yearly clearing of brush at perimeter of outfield area by the first week in July
                E. Edging base paths and pitchers mound as needed though out the summer season.

                PLAYGROUND AREA AT GREENE PARK
                
                Weed maintence/removal with in the defined area around playground and with in log perimeter

                SPRING AND FALL CLEANUP

                Removal of all leaves and twigs twice yearly at all areas specified in the Mowing section above.  
                All leaves will be hauled off property. Spring clean up
                must happen before April 15th and fall clean up to happen when trees are bare.

3.      Contractor shall provide a list of Equipment that will be used to carry out the Scope of Services,

4.      Mower blades shall be kept sharp to avoid injury to the grass and dirt substrate.  Particular attention to be had at Dam        area off Beartown Rd

5.      Contractor will be responsible to correct any and all damage to turf caused by mowing.

6.      All grass shall be kept at 2" - 3" tall

7.      Contractor will insure that mowing does not take place during ballgames at Greene Park.   (A game schedule will be      given when one becomes availible)

8.      All equipment shall be maintained and kept in excellent working condition to safeguard against contamination to         the environment through spillage or leakage of gas or oil.

9.      Contractor shall show proof of liability insurance

10.     Contractor shall show proof of workers compensation insurance for additional workers in his/her employ.

11.     Bid Proposal to include total price of Three year term and broken down yearly as well.

12.     All bids must be sealed and clearly marked "PARKS MOWING BID" and are due at the Monterey Town Hall no later than       6PM Wednesday July 31, 2013
