TOWN OF MONTEREY, INVITATION TO BID
Light Duty Rescue Vehicle
The Town of Monterey, acting through its Selectboard, invites sealed bids from qualified Contractors to build and deliver a light duty rescue vehicle per Town of Monterey Fire Department Specification. Bids are subject to MGL ch 30B. Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes clearly labeled “Light Duty Rescue Vehicle” and be received no later than Monday May 14, 2012 at the Selectboard’s meeting room at 9:00am, Town Hall, 435 Main Road, Monterey, MA. Bids will not be accepted after 9:00am. Bids will be read aloud at that time and the Selectboard will award a contract within 30 days or reserve the right to reject any and all bids, waive any informality in the bids received, if in the best interest of the Town of Monterey. No bid shall
be withdrawn within 30 days of the bid opening. Award is dependent on vote at annual town meeting on May 5, 2012. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit of no less that 5% of total bid, in the form of a cash bid bond, certified check, treasurers or cashier’s check of bank or trust company doing business in Massachusetts and shall be made payable to the Town of Monterey. A 100% performance bond and 100% payment Bond will be required of the successful bidder within 10 days of Notice of Award.
Bid documents will be available for pick up at the Town Hall, Interdepartmental Secretary’s office during normal business hours. Bidders wanting bid package mailed to them must send an additional $10.00 for postage and handling. Direct all questions to Chief Shawn Tryon at 413-528-3136.
