Monterey Mowing Bid

The Town of Monterey is seeking bids for the mowing, trimming and maintenance of its various grounds, parks, and baseball  diamond and field for a contract of three (3) years, not to include the winter seasons, where such services will not be required.  Each bid shall include a price for each of the three years, broken down by year and monthly throughout the mowing season.  The Contract will be awarded to the lowest average price for the three-year term, and/or most responsive bidder.  There will be a site meeting on Saturday May 22, 2010 at 1:00 PM at the Monterey Town Hall to review the entire scope of services.  All bidders must have valid liability and workers compensation insurance, and include such valid documentation in his/her bid package.

Contractor(s) shall furnish his/her own equipment suitable to carry out the work in a professional and efficient manner.  All work shall be performed at such times as specified in the Scope of Services so as no to interfere with town functions.  The Park Commission is awarding authority, and reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive minor informalities or irregularities in any bid, and to make an award in any manner consistent  with  the law and deemed to be in the best interests of the Town of Monterey. The Scope of Services document will be available at the Monterey Town Hall on Tuesday May 4th, 2010 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

All bids shall be sealed and clearly marked “PARKS MOWING BID”, and are due at the Monterey Town Offices, 435 Main Road, Monterey, MA. No later than 9:00 a.m., Wednesday June 2, 2010.  All Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.  The awarded bid will be announced on Wednesday June 2, 2010 during the Monthly Parks Department meeting.
