Bid Specs: Ice Storm Debris Removal, Hangers
TOWN OF MONTEREY
BID SPECIFICATIONS, ICE STORM DEBRIS REMOVAL, HANGERS

1.  Hangers will be removed on the following roads(estimated # of hangers)
a.  Fairview Road (7)
b.  Beartown Mtn Road (73)
c.  Mt Hunger Road (35)
d.  Hupi Road (27)
e.  Art School Road (8)
f.  Griswold Road (8)
g.  Sandisfield Road (8)
h.  Cronk Road (17)
i.  Chestnut Hill Road (42)
2.  Hangers to be removed by bucket truck, chipped on site, by chipper large enough to handle material and scattered in adjacent woods
3.  Director of Operations, or his designee, shall accompany bucket truck and keep count of all hangers removed and chipped
4.  Work to begin with 15 days of bid award and be completed within 45 days of bid award
5.  Prevailing wages must be paid and Weekly Contractors Payroll records must be turned in weekly.
6.  Bidder must agree to comply with all Federal, State and local laws and regulations and prohibit discrimination in hiring
7.  Proof of liability and workman’s compensation insurance must accompany bid
8.  All signage and traffic control to be provided by contractor
9.  Two municipal references to be provided with Names, Phone numbers and addresses of previous, similar work
10.  The Town of Monterey reserves the right to cancel the contract at any time for any reason
11.  All appropriate licenses are the contractors responsibility
12.  Contractor must notify Director of Operation 48 hours in advance of starting work
