Minutes of the meeting of 1/10/19
Meeting Opened at: 4pm
Select Board Members Present: Carol Edelman, Chairperson, Kenneth Basler and Donald Coburn

Carol Edelman called the meeting to order and explained that the purpose of the meeting was to discuss complaints & charges against a public officer and complaints against an employee. Town Counsel, Jeremia Pollard stressed that this meeting should be handled in executive session, Don refused.
The police statements filed with the Police Department by Melissa Noe against Donald Coburn for throwing a tape recorder were read into record. Don disputed all the statements made calling all the statements lies.
Scott Jenssen asked to speak and during his time asked for Don to resign; Don declined.
Don then went on to explain his complaint against Melissa Noe for what he felt was insubordination. Discussion ensued about any existing policies for keeping audio recordings (there are none) and it was agreed that the Board would address this at their next meeting.
The tone of the meeting continued to be negative and the only solution that Don could offer to address Melissa’s complaints (this is the 3rd formal complaint) of a hostile work environment was that he would no longer speak with her unless it was at a publically posted meeting or via email. Melissa expressed that this was not an ideal situation as it prevents the efficient flow of work getting done but agreed as it was clear there was no other solution at this time.
A motion was made and unanimously approved to adjourn the meeting at: 5:15pm
