Minutes of the emergency meeting of 8/17/16
Meeting Opened at: 10:26am
Select Board Members Present: Kenn Basler, Chairperson, Steve Weisz and Carol Edelman
Also in attendance: Terry Walker, Ray Tryon, Julio Rodriguez
Miscellaneous Items Reviewed:
1. The Board met with Terry Walker to interview her for the position of Town Clerk. Terry provided copies of all of the certifications she holds. The Board would like to get someone in the office immediately to handle the September election, special town meeting as well as the November election. She is limited to the hours she can work as she is retired. Carol suggested a schedule of 10 hours a week at an hourly rate of $22. A motion was made to appoint Terry Walker as the Interim Town Clerk until the May 2017 elections. The motion was seconded and approved unanimously. Terry will work on a schedule which will include Saturdays and get back to the Board. Terry will start next Tuesday the 23rd.
2. Julio Rodriguez came in to let the Board know that the Council on Aging will be holding another health fair on October 8th from 10 – 2 at the fire station.
3. The fire truck is due to come in next Tuesday or Wednesday and a new check will be written this Friday.
A motion was made and unanimously approved to adjourn the meeting at: 11am
