Miscellaneous Items:
1. Elliot Small of Buckingham Lane was upset about the erroneous complaint brought about by a local or 2nd homeowner, he’s looking to be reimbursed for the $3k he spent to defend his position.
2. Paul Gelbard of Point Rd would like to see the Transfer Station open on Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays. He’d also like to see a “good side out” law regarding property line fences. He mentioned an article that was in the Monterey News stating that chemical use (i.e. soaps, etc) should be used with caution around the lakes. It was suggested that an educational packet be compiled for new property owners on the lakes with the who, what, when, where and why of chemical use.
3. Lonnie Solomon was concerned about the tree left on her property after the tree trimming at River and Gould Roads.
4. Chuck Pierce commended the information provided on the town website. He like more info on the future of cell towers on Pixley Rd.
5. Stephen Zweig, a new resident inquired as to how citizens deal without high speed internet access.
6. There were concerns about people leaving their cars running at the Transfer Station and inquired about a “no idle zone”.
7. The senior tax work incentive was discussed and some felt it was unfair that only full time residents can take advantage of it. It was noted that this is a Mass. General Law, not a stipulation created by the town.
8. Richard Edelstein inquired if the property taxes would be lowered now due to the economy.
