Minutes of the 2nd Homeowner’s meeting of 8/22/09
Meeting Opened at: 9:30am
Select Board Members Present: Jon Sylbert
Also in attendance for parts of the meeting: Lonnie Solomon, Susan Kaufman, Jules Kaufman, Gerry Clarin, Frank Ashen, Keith O’Brien and Chip Allen
Miscellaneous Items:
1. Residents requested an update on River Rd. from New Marlborough.
2. Discussion ensued about the conditions of Fairview Rd and the multiple washouts and whether or not it should be paved or dirt.
3. Someone mentioned that there appears to a washout occurring at Gould Rd and Lover’s Lane.
4. There were concerns about the amount of people speeding on Blue Hill Rd.
5. Sylvan Rd: Having the Town pave the small town owned section and plowing of it.
6. It was asked if there were any zoning bylaws about erecting wind turbines in Monterey.
7. The status of getting DSL everywhere in Monterey was brought up.
8. An update on the Lake Buel boat ramp was requested.
9. Those present commended the highway crew on a good job plowing over the winter.
10. Questions were asked about a culvert on Scott Rd (it was later determined that this is located on private property).
