Executive Session Minutes from 6/4/07
School District Litigation
11:48am – 12:02pm
Present: Jonathan Sylbert, Chair of the Select Board, Scott Jenssen Select Board member, Wayne Burkhart, Select Board member, Melissa Noe secretary to the Board and Town Counsel Jerry Scully and Jeremiah Pollard.
Roll call was taken by the Chair. All Select Board members were present. A motion was made by J. Sylbert to go into executive session, seconded by S. Jenssen, and approved unanimously.
Items discussed:
1. Possible litigation with regards to the recent Sheffield Town Meeting and the School District assessment method.
2. Town Counsel spoke to Phil Grandchamp and determined that the Regional Agreement is still in effect. In order to comply, the district towns need to send in the wording of the Regional Agreement and the town vote approving the FY ’08 school budget to the Department of Education. Town Counsel will provide a copy of the Agreement to the board and send in the copy to the Department of Education.
At 12:02pm J. Sylbert called this meeting to a close and it was seconded by S. Jenssen and unanimously approved by the board.
