MONTEREY SELECT BOARD
NOTES ON THE MEETING OF JULY 25, 2005
The regular weekly meeting of the Monterey Select Board was opened at 8:30 a.m. with members Michèle Miller (Chair), Michael Storch, and Jonathan Sylbert all present.
In attendance for the meeting: Laurily Epstein of the Monterey News
· Cemetery Committee: Status of ethics inquiry and bidding process
· Ethics Commission: Set date for training
· Procedure for filing formal complaints
· Police Chief: Schedule; Main Road; telephone bill consolidation
· Building Commissioner Don Torrico: Board requested wording for environmental standards for zoning bylaws
· Planning Board: Board met with Maggie Leonard, chair of the Planning Board, re moving of files; Board scheduled interviews for an August 11 meeting with the Planning Board to appoint a new member
· 9:30 a.m.: Select Board road inspection with Operations Director Maynard Forbes; Board visited Gould Road, New Marlboro Road, Sandisfield Road, Mount Hunger Road, and Fairview Road; Gould Farm Road to be monitored by Police Department
· Town Computer system: Meeting with Del Rogers, who was asked to provide the following information within two weeks:
1) Users training manual
2) Audit of Town system: Should include software and inventory of equipment and connections (Asset tags)
3) Mapping: Query committees regarding computer needs; map what we have
· Monterey Historical Society: Donation of coins
· Agricultural Commission: Member Brian Puntin was provided with a copy of the Community Development Plan
