1. Call to Order: Chairman Abelow welcomed audience members and began the meeting at 7:10 p.m.
2. Proposed FY 2012 Operating and Transportation Budget
Mr. Abelow introduced Mr. Turner, District Business Administrator, who presented the FY 2012 Operating and Transportation Budget and explained differences between the FY’11 and FY’12 budgets. Mr. Valentini, Chairman of the Finance Subcommittee, also spoke, providing an explanation for the anomalies in the FY’11 budget. Committee members then responded to questions from the audience regarding the budget.
3. Proposed Capital Expenditure Bond
Mr. Abelow introduced Mr. Flynn, Chairman of the Buildings, Grounds, and Technology Subcommittee. Mr. Flynn explained the thought process in asking the towns for approval of a bond issue. He then reviewed the specific items included in the proposed $3 million bond and the timeline for repayment. A question and answer session followed.
The meeting ended at 8:15 p.m.
