The board discussed the ZBA decision to change the Bronstein/Mt. Hunger request for a variance into a special permit. We reviewed the Planning Board process which began with idea that that their situation called for a special permit but, that after reading the Zoning Bylaws, we agreed with Bronstein’s lawyer that it required a variance.
Sawyer reported that he attended the New Member Training provided by BRPC on July 31, 2014. He said they learned about the function of Planning Board particularly with respect to the creation of a Master Plan.
Leonard reported to the board that residents of Cronk Road and Chestnut Hill Rd are unhappy with the traffic (especially large trucks) amplified noise and expansion of the Hume Lake camp on Chestnut Hill Rd. The board agreed to meet with Cronk Rd. residents at the September 25th meeting of the Planning Board.
The board reviewed the Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) zoning bylaw first draft and made changes. Many of the changes have not been voted on and are not final. Please see the first draft of the ADU included with these minutes.
The board opened the mail.
