Planning Board Meeting Minutes
February 12, 2009
To order: 7:00 p.m.
Members Present: Alan Soloman, Co-chair Cindy Hoogs and Brian Puntin, Steve Rose and Bridget Krans
Public Present: Mike Parsons, Sean Tucker, Rob Hoogs, and Members of the West Road Housing Association
- Affordable Housing Project- Mike Parsons and Sean Tucker came before the board to present their ideas for an affordable housing project. Sean Tucker owns property on West Road and would like to build 4 affordable housing units and 12 at market value units. They all would be three bedroom homes. Mr. Tucker and Mr. Parsons stated that they would improve the quality of the road before construction takes place.
- Judy Bach Subdivision Project- There will be an open public hearing for Judy Bach subdivision project on March 12th. Cindy will make sure there is a notice in the Berkshire record for the appropriate amount of time. The $300.00 dollar application fee was paid. The board would like to retain an engineer to look at the plans at the cost of the applicant.
- Zoning bylaws- The board went over clerical errors that were found in the bylaws
- Bylaw revisions- The board reviewed articles and bylaws from various towns and ideas that Cindy had drafted up. The board discussed adding a bylaw for year round camp.
- Budget- The board reviewed the budget. Steve made a motion to submit for $5,000, Brian seconded that motion. It was unanimously approved.
