Planning Board Meeting Minutes: November 13th 2008

Meeting to order: 7:15 P.M.
- A legal notice of the December 11th 2008 public hearing was placed in the Berkshire Record.
Rob Hoogs came to give the board some input on the process of creating a Master Plan. He developed one for Great Barrington.
Rob suggested that the board discuss what would they hope to achieve with a master plan. It is a long and tedious task. A master plan should include goals and a step-by-step process on how to get there.
Currently there is no requirement in the state zoning bylaws that towns must have a master plane, however it is listed as the board’s duty. There are no ramifications if a town does not have one.
There was no quorum. No official business was conducted and no decisions were made.
