October 23rd Planning Board Meeting Minutes
Present: Co-Chair, Cindy Hoogs; Maggie Leonard; Larry Klein; Alan Salamon and Steve Rose
Meeting to Order: 7:05
- The board discussed options for holding a public hearing regarding the common driveway bylaws. Cindy will set up a public hearing for December 11th at 7:00 pm. After that the board will request a special town meeting from the Board of Selectmen for some point during the winter. The meeting has to be within two months of the special town meeting.
The board only holds one meeting in November due to the Thanksgiving holiday and one in December due to the Christmas holiday.
The board is contemplating adding some uses to the bylaws regarding summer camps that would be acceptable under special permit. New England Keswick and The sports camp need new language added to the bylaws to allow them to operate year round. The board agreed to wait until speaking with camp representatives and the building inspector before moving forward.
Ordinary repairs on homes are allowed in the bylaws, The building inspector would like that changed due to the fact that it is against stage code. In the past the board has agreed on keeping the language in the bylaws the same and at this point the board agrees on keeping the bylaws on ordinary repairs as is.
Past meeting minutes were approved contingent on a single correction.
