Planning Board Minutes, March 27, 2008

Meeting opened at 7:00 pm.
The Monterey Planning Board held a public hearing on March 27, 2008 at 7:15pm at the Monterey Town Hall to receive public comment about the proposed zoning bylaw to regulate common driveways. The public notice of the public hearing was advertised twice in the Berkshire Eagle, on March 12, 2008 and March 19, 2008.
Four members of the Planning Board and one town resident, Steve Enoch, attended the [public hearing. Written comments regarding the proposed bylaw were received and read from the Director of Operations Maynard Forbes and Building commissioner Don Torrico. The proposed bylaw was described and discussed and the comments and recommendations from the public were considered.
At the end of the public hearing, the planning Board agreed to make minor clarifications to the draft bylaw in response to the comments received. The Planning Board voted unanimously to issue a strongly positive recommendation at Town Meeting in favor of adopting the Common Driveway bylaw as amended.
