Monterey Parks Commission

Minutes for the 12/2011 Parks Commission were approved as written.
Rink
- Skating schedules will be the same as last year.
- Bettina checked w/ Kenver Ltd. about a skate sharpening day. They were not receptive. Bettina will check with Plane’s in Pittsfield. She will do an inventory of the skates at the Pavilion.
- Skating Party- Monday, 2/20 1-3PM Josh to advertise in Monterey News, Josh to buy Hot Dogs, Condiments , Hot Chocolate and Hot Cider
- Bettina will update the rink hours on the Parks Commission answering machine.
Bench for Town Beach
- Ira Transport has expressed an interest in donating a bench for the Monterey Town Beach
- Josh will supply websites for Ira to order the bench
- Ira will order the bench
- When it is delivered we will have it installed by Rick M. in the Spring.
Zumba Classes
- Taking place at firehouse. Privately paid by participants.
- In Otis and Tyringham, the Parks Commission pays for residents
- Bettina followed-up, to see if we might want to provide the service for Monterey residents. Bettina has called to try to connect with the teacher, but has not gotten a response. She will try to meet with the instructor in person.
