Parks Commission Minutes 5-5-10

Old Business
- Minutes from 4/7/10 Approved with the following amendments:
- Josh to call Maynard Forbes about a water fountain at Greene Park
New Business
Town Beach
- Betinna to call Bridget Krans and ask if she is willing to teach swim lessons.
- Lifeguards to come to 6/2/2010 meeting with their certification. Gary will ask Emily to call the main Lifeguards (Lauren, Katie, Gabe). He will also have Emily update the written beach procedures
- Changing Rooms- Dianna said that for projects under $5000 we do not need to send it out to bid.
- Josh will order rope for the beach.
- Jessica will check out the condition of the picnic tables. Josh has called re:prices.
Other Issues
- Split rail fence at the Dam came down. Josh repaired it.
- Josh will order a recycle barrel for Greene Park
- Mowing bid- site visit 5/22 1PM
- Josh will review specs for mowing
