Parks Department meeting
In attendance Josh Allentuck, Valerie Zantay, Gary Shaw, Diana Piepho
1. LeRoy Thorpe of the coffee club came to ask if the Parks Department would co-sponsor the Christmas party and hay ride. It will be on Dec. 20, a Sunday at 1:30. We said yes.
2. Beach Phone – should we get our own pay phone? More information is needed. Josh will research more.
3. We are on track for setting up the rink on Sat. Nov 28th at 10:00. A blurb in the Monterey News came out in the last printing calling for volunteers. Valerie will contact Ken at the store for doughnuts and coffee. Unfortunately Valerie and Josh will be away that weekend. Gary will represent the parks.
4. Gary reported that the Halloween event was a huge success. There will 20+ Monterey children in attendance.
5. Josh has contacted the folks at The Glass Shop about the plexiglass window in the warming shed.
6. Skates at the rink. They need to be looked at. Some need laces, all need to be sharpened.
7. Letter from Mark Makuc about needing new ropes and buoys for the beach. Diana will research costs.
8. Skate swap?
