Parks Commission Meeting Minutes: January 7, 2009
Members present: Leroy Thorpe, chair, Valerie Zantay and Dianna Piepho
- Approved December minutes
- Discussed bill from Dave Edelman. Will submit after discrepancy regarding painting is cleared up. Valerie will contact Dave.
- Discussed rink hours. Hours changed to accommodate families with school age children. Revised hours will be posted and sent to the Monterey News.
- Valerie will purchase colored soft pucks for the rink which will be easier to see on the black ice.
- Date set for the skating party. It will be 1-3 on Feb 21. Dianna will call the store for snacks and LeRoy will put up posters and email the Monterey News.
- LeRoy will contact the Harbor Master to invite him to our April meeting
- Diana is still working on the signs from Staples.
- At next meeting we will need to talk about advertising for Lifeguards.
