Parks Commission Meeting Minutes: December 3,2008
Members Present: Leroy Thorpe : Chair ; Valerie Zantay, Bridget Krans, and Diana Piepho
- Approved November minutes.
- Handed out Open Meeting Law booklet.
- Discussed Steve Graves’ input with the ice rink and the Parks Commission gratitude for all his work and making copies of keys of the ice rink.
- Confirmed the men who volunteered to be ‘flooders’ for the rink: Mark Macuk, Steve Graves, and Rick Andrus, and discussed the need for more ‘flooders’.
- Approved Christmas party for December 21st and hayride at 1PM in association with the Coffee Club.
- Schedule of Ice Rink hours to go into Monterey News.
- Agreed to make sign for the ice rink at Staples.
- Agreed to change the lock at the beach.
- Discussed proposal to buy a grill and have Monterey Pot Luck Dinner at the beach in the summer.
- Discussed meeting with the Harbor Master in April or May in regards to placing water safety buoys that state NO WAKE, by the floating docks, and also discussing the need to enforce the lake rules in regard to boat direction etc.
