Parks Commission Meeting Minutes: August 3rd, 2008
Members Present: Leroy, Chair; Diana and Bridget
- The committee discussed finding a replacement for Chandler who was elected in May with write in votes. She has resigned her position.
- Leroy brought to everyone’s attention a bill that was received from UPS for an oversized item that was shipped from Keifer. Diana is going to look into it.
- It was decided that somehow the lifeguards need to start earlier in the season next year. The committee will touch base with the selectmen about that issue at some point.
- The rink boards are going to need painted and assembled. Rick Andrus and Mark Makuc are going to help make ice.
- Leroy is going to talk to Ray about the bump in the pavement in the rink.
- A letter will be put into the Monterey news asking for volunteers for rink set up as well as any business or company that would like to sponsor a board.
The parks commission decided to hold a Halloween Harvest party in October.
