Parks commission meeting minutes: 10-03-07
Members Present: Leroy Thorpe, Diana Pepho, Bridget Krans, Valerie Zantay and Jim Edelman
· David Edelman will make platform for the “Big Belly”. The beach one will be located parallel to the bike rack, slightly away from the tree.
· We need a purchase order form to send in to order the “Big Belly”. The grant has not yet been awarded. Valerie will get the letter head from Michelle and take care of ordering.
· There was a Monterey news release regarding the “Big Belly”. It was short but sweet.
· The cylinder and crank are all set for the basketball hoop at Greene Park.
· The lease for the skating rink is all set. Set up will begin in the early part of November.
· Jim is working on a grant for playground funding. The commission is still discussing having Cindy Mack come out to take a look at the playground to see what types of information and equipment her company could offer.
· The door on the shed at the lake needs to be fixed. When David Edelman is doing the slab he will change the hinges and add a new door knob. He will also put a new coat of paint on the door.
