Monterey Council on Aging (COA)
Minutes of October 9, 2018 – FINAL
The meeting convened at 10:45 at the Community Center. Present Were: Kay Purcell, Kyle Pierce, Norma Champigny, Ruth Champigny, Roz Halberstadter, Pat Salomon. (Ilene Marcus was excused).
State Budget Form FY 19 Grant. Not received yet by COA, presuming $6000 from the State and $3125 from the town, minus the $4845 for the SBETC Van, $4280 will be available. Tentative FY 18 Budget was reviewed and approved by the four members.
Events Discussed: Both familiar and new ideas, Council is considering Mt. Everett and Monument Mt. events, super senior lunch, museum trip, folk singer, Boston Flower Show.
Veteran’s Day: Service will take place a UCC Monterey on Sunday November 11th at 11 am. Brief ceremony and then the church bells will ring.
Next Meeting is October 22nd at 10:00 am.
