Minutes of November 13, 2017
The meeting opened at 10:05 am. Present were Norma Champigny, Ruth Champigny, Kay Purcell, Julio Rodriguez and Don Clawson. Linda Hebert was absent. Minutes of October 23rd were approved.
Senior Housing was the main topic. With Don’s help we discussed the need for housing and the many steps to achieve that. Some mentioned were reviewing the need; educating ourselves, learning how it ‘s been handled in other towns, available land, regulations, budgets, discussions with town boards and the public, and then voting at town meeting.
Veterans’ Day was a success. Nine veterans enjoyed the breakfast and then thirty people assembled at the WWI monument for a prayer by Rev. Elizabeth Goodman. Larry Klein gave the history and a poem “Flanders’ Field.
Mt. Everett H.S. is hosting a senior luncheon and entertainment on Thursday, December 7th.
Plans for films will be discussed further.
