Monterey Council on Aging
Minutes of July 13, 2016
The meeting opened at 10 am with members Norma Champigny, Ruth Champigny and Kay Purcell. Minutes were reviewed and accepted.
Events The ballgame is on for next Sunday and 25 people are expected.
New Marlborough Council is planning 2 events. In early August a van trip to Bristol,CT is being considered. Attractions, all together or nearby, are The Carousel Museum, The Clock Museum and a Car Museum. On August 26th their council is sponsoring a luncheon in Southfield Church with a group called Honor Flight. The group is working with veterans of World War II and maybe Korea also They support visits to The WWII Monument in Washington, D.C. Spread the word.
Sandisfield has invited us to a picnic at York Lake today at 11:30 am. In the fall we can consider a joint exercise program.
Discussion Services for residents were reviewed. CORI screenings for council members, Friendly Visitors and others should be planned.
The meeting adjourned at 10:40am.
