Monterey Council on Aging
Minutes, June 24, 2015
The meeting opened at 10 am. M. Brown, R. Champigny, K. Purcell and J. Rodriguez were present. Minutes of the June 10th meeting were accepted as written.
The joint meeting with other councils was cancelled until the fall because of scheduling conflicts. Sandisfield CoA invited us to a picnic at York Lake on Wednesday, July 8th.
Budget - Joe Baker found the listening system they want for the W-McL House and he’ll follow through on that. Checks were requested for flexpasses at Chester Theater and Berkshire Theater Festival. 6 tickets will be available for each. Call M. Brown to reserve tickets, once each season. Tickets can be picked up at Town Hall. Lunch subsidy for The Brewery is $4. for the meal and $3. for the gratuity = $91.
Health Fair – J. Rodriquez is organizing 5-8 people to assist at the fair planned for Saturday, October 3, 2015 from 10 am – 2 pm. They are considering VNS, BMC, Diabetes education, eye exams, fire and police safety, vetenarian services and various health issues.
Trips – The earlier company we called to arrange bus service didn’t work out. They are tour managers, not a bus company. K. Purcell will call King Ward bus company which has worked with the schools and also contact Erie Canal Cruises and request flyers. The July 19th ballgame is still on; so far 12 people have signed up.
The meeting adjourned at 11:15 am.
