MONTEREY BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING MINUTES

Present: John Makuc, Roy Carwile and Peter Kolodziej

The meeting began at 4pm
- The Board reviewed the septic plans and special permit and variance plans for the Monterey Library. Peter said the septic plan could be approved as is however recommended considering looking at a perc rite to avoid the large costs that will come with the wall and fill required for the current proposal. The Board will approve the plans submitted and if the library decides the other option is a better one they can reevaluate it then. The Board is aware of the 75ft requirement from the Planning Board and has no issues as this is not new construction and meets all title v requirements. The Board also did not have any objections to the ZBA application.
- Outdoor showers: We had an inquiry about outdoor showers, Peter double checked today and confirmed with a local plumbing inspector who stated the plumbing code has changed to allow outdoor showers. A plumbing permit is necessary and a building permit if there is any type of enclosure.
- Peter has been asked to attend the next Select Board meeting to review the seating capacity per the septic plans for the General Store.
- The minutes from 7/10/17 and 11/6/17 were approved as written.
- The next meeting will be Monday, March 5th at 4pm.
