MONTEREY BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING MINUTES
Date: June 6, 2016
Present: John Makuc, Roy Carwile and Peter Kolodziej
Also present: Kay Purcell
The meeting began at 4:05pm
1. The minutes from 5/16/16 were approved.
2. An update was given regarding the Church property. The Board discussed court and condemnation options. The Board doesn’t feel that Millie is going to clean it up on her own no matter how much time she’s given. Peter is going to contact protective services and will prepare the paperwork to go to court providing Millie doesn’t get it all done by the Board’s meeting on the 20th.
3. Peter has performed an inspection at KSA and contingent on the Building Department’s approval the permits can be released.
4. Burial permits – A motion was made to appoint Jennifer Brown, Town Clerk as the assistant to the Board of Health in issuing burial permits. The motion was seconded and approved unanimously. Roy will also be added as an alternate.
5. Monterey Farmer’s Market – any vendors with potentially hazardous foods or packaged products will need their own permit and the food will have to be transported properly.
6. Lake Garfield – The Board briefly discussed the septics around the lake and the effect of storm water runoff.
7. The next meeting will be Monday, June 20th
