MONTEREY BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING MINUTES
Date: December 15, 2014
Present: John Makuc, Robert Annelli, and Peter Kolodziej
Also present: Rob Hoogs
The meeting began at 4pm
1. The minutes from 11/3/14 were approved.
2. Rob Hoogs of Foresight came in to talk about how one would go about putting in a spring or improve an existing spring to use as the water supply for a private single family dwelling. It is a permitted process which would require a licensed well driller to sign off on. Since a spring is essentially a wetland Foresight is aware that they would need to go before the Conservation Commission as well. Peter stated that more importantly an engineer should oversee an installed spring system as most well drillers are not familiar with the process. The Board would want to ensure that the capacity is there and that outside contaminations are eliminated.
3. The Board discussed their FY16 budget.
4. The Board will meet next on January 12th at 4pm seeing as John cannot make the 5th and the 19th is a holiday.
