MONTEREY BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING MINUTES

The meeting began at 4pm
1. The minutes from 7/15/13 were approved.
2. Nick Anderson of Berkshire Engineering came in with plans for 250 New Marlboro Rd came in with plans for a new system. This property is a trust and the deeds do not specifically allow for them to build a septic system without approval from the trustees which is not a quick process. They are looking for a pre-approval to allow them to apply for a building permit. The septic plans submitted on 9/16/13 were approved subject to compliance with Title V regulations with the condition that the property cannot be occupied until a septic certificate of compliance has been issued. The permit was not issued as other information is still required. The Board will require a set of floor plans for the existing home and the proposed project with a brief summary of the work to be performed. The Board will
also require written confirmation that the Trustees have allowed the septic construction.
3. Linda Thorpe came in to state she will turn over the burial permits to be filed with the Board of Health tomorrow after she makes copies of them now that the Board of Health will be handling this responsibility.
4. M. Noe will be participating in a webinar on Tuesday, September 24th regarding a new state burial online permit process.
5. The Board agreed to waive the fee for a food service permit for the WMH Oktoberfest but will require a serv safe and allergen awareness certificate.
6. The Board will meet next on October 7th at 4pm.
