MONTEREY BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING MINUTES

The meeting began at 4pm
1. The minutes from 4/22/13 were approved.
2. Ronnie Leonard of Mt. Everett Landscaping requested today’s hearing to appeal the fine imposed for installing a septic without a permit at 40 Sylvan Rd and for not following the town’s procedures and protocols. It was noted that in June of 2006 Mt Everett was fined for the same thing and at the July meeting the Board waived the fine with the understanding that this would be their warning. Ronnie felt the fine was a bit excessive for an honest mistake, he assumed because the permit had been paid for that it was all set. The Board agreed to waive the fine seeing as the violation in 2006 was when Randy was running the business. This will be a warning but any future violations will be fined $200. M. Noe will request a refund to Mt Everett.
3. Peter updated the Board on the Church residence and the complaint received about an attractive nuisance on Mt Hunger.
4. As requested the Board “certified” their meeting minutes from July 2, 2012 and will mail them to Aronson & Assoc.
5. The Board will next meet on May 20th at 4pm.
